ABOUT JUNIOR IMPERIAL

The Junior Imperial Competition provides the opportunity to gain self-confidence, self-esteem and make new friends who share the same interests and showcase their abilities and talents.  Additionally, contestants have the opportunity to show their talents to our Imperial International Competition Talent Recruiters who have decades of experience in production locating and casting children and are seeking a wide variety of boys and girls for various roles as actors and models.  The competition gives each contestant important experience that will allow them to achieve goals in life. Being on stage in front of hundreds of individuals is an extraordinary experience, unlike others.  The ultimate purpose is to bring out the best in each contestant.  Being well prepared to do the best on stage equally benefits contestants ability to handle life off stage.  The competition is focused on style, elegance, intelligence and performances.  All contestants and winners will recieve benefits / prizes / gifts and opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:
-5-17 years old
-No height requirement
-Basic English language skills

2018 COMPETITION

The 2018 Junior Imperial International Competition was held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Andersen Park, the world’s first theme park inspired by Danish fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen.  The competition is open to both Chinese and Foreign contestants from 5 to 17 years old.  In all there were almost fifty contestants who showed themselves on stage with an introduction followed by contestant performances.  Eight esteemed international judges scored each of the contestants and selected one winner of the talent competition who had an outstanding dance performance and overall five boys and five girls as the winners of the competition.  The event was sponsored by various companies including SPD Bank, Atlas Blue Property, EL Academy, Moonbasa, and Wannabebe.

>>JUDGING CRITERIA:
-Overall judging is based on contestant appeal, elegance and style.
-Performances will be judged on the most entertaining and well executed.

>>EVENT VENUE:
Andersen Park, the world’s first theme park inspired by Danish fairy tale writer Hans Christian covers 81,000 square-meters in Yangpu’s Xinjiangwan Town.  The Park is located at 200 Guohong Lu, near Zhengcheng Lu, a 5-minute walk from East Yingao Rd subway station (Line 10, Exit 4), and by   Public Bus Numbers 168, 1226, 502.  上海市杨浦区国泓路200号（近政澄路）
