CONTESTANT FAQ

We are now looking for Contestants from around the Globe for our Miss Imperial, Mister Imperial and Junior Imperial competitions.  Only one Contestant will be appointed for each country, and if there is a National Director for a Country it is the responsibility of that National Director to select a contestant.  Below are answers to some Frequently Asked Questions.

♦ WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
Once you have applied, the organization will process and review your application accordingly. Contestants are selected based mainly on the strength of their application and online votes. If necessary, there might be additional phone interviews or video submissions as determined by the organization.

♦ IS THERE AN APPLICATION FEE?
No application fee is required.

♦ WHO CAN REPRESENT A COUNTRY?
Contestants need not have a passport from the Country they represent, but must show appropriate ancestry to compete.

♦ ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR JUNIORS?
All Juniors must have a Consent Form signed by their parents or legal guardians.

♦ CAN A DELEGATE COMPETE MORE THAN ONCE?
Yes.

♦ CAN CONTESTANTS BE MARRIED OR HAVE CHILDREN?
Yes.

♦ WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA?
In addition to beauty, Imperial Competitions place great emphasis on contestants contribution to society.

♦ WHAT EXPENSES DO CONTESTANTS PAY?
Contestants are responsible for their clothing and airfare.  Accommodations and food are covered during the course of the competition.

♦ MAY I FIND SPONSORS?
Contestants may find sponsors to cover expenses as long as those sponsors are not in conflict with international sponsors.

♦ HOW ARE APPLICANTS AND DELEGATES SELECTED?
Countries which are represented by national directors will be selected by their national directors. Otherwise, applicants are selected by their application and potential phone interviews.

♦ IF I AM SELECTED AS AN OFFICIAL CONTESTANT, WHAT DATES MUST I BE AVAILABLE FOR?
Contestants must be available for the entire period prior to the competition, which is usually about one week.

♦ WHAT HAPPENS PRIOR TO THE COMPETITION?
Contestants will receive training, have video and photo shoots and attend various events and promotions.

♦ HOW MANY DELEGATES ARE SELECTED PER COUNTRY?
There will only be 1 delegate for each country

♦ WILL HAIR AND MAKE-UP BE PROVIDED?
Hair and make-up will be provided to all contestants.

♦ IS IT A PROBLEM IF I HAVE TATTOOS?
No.

DIRECTORS FAQ

We are now looking for National Directors around the Globe for our Miss Imperial, Mister Imperial and Junior Imperial competitions.  Only one National Director will be appointed for each country. The National Director is responsible for finding a contestant to represent the Country, either through a fair competition or appointment. Parties who are interested should write us here and will be provided with a License Agreement which will be reviewed by the our organization. Upon payment of the license fee, no other National Director appointed. The license holder will be responsible to send their contestant to to the International Competition. All National competitions must be held no later than six weeks before the international competition, to ensure enough time for the finalist to prepare for the International contest.  Below are answers to some Frequently Asked Questions.

♦ HOW TO RUN THE NATIONAL PAGEANT?
The way in which a license holder chooses to run a selection is entirely up to them (eg online or live event), so long as the judging and pricing is fair, and they up hold a good standard of presentation representing our brand.

♦ DOES THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?​
It is always best for the National Director to know about Pageants and have a good track record.  However, we may accept applicant’s if they can prove that they are capable.  Also, we can help to assist new National Directors.

♦ CAN I BE A NATIONAL DIRECTOR IN COUNTRY FOR WHICH I AM NOT A CITIZEN?
Yes. However, there must be assurances that the pageant comply with all local laws and regulations.

♦ WHAT ARE THE COSTS FOR NATIONAL DIRECTORS?
The National Director is responsible for paying all costs associated with the Director’s National Pageant as well as the winners photographs, video, clothing and international travel for the winner.

♦ FOR HOW MANY YEARS CAN I BE THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR?
As long as the National Director complies with the requirements of the pageant they may continue to exclusively hold the license.

♦ HOW CAN I BE A SUCCESSFUL NATIONAL DIRECTOR?
Just like with any business, it will require time to build the business and have financial success.  Pageants that are fun can have many benefits beyond financial success, and Directors can work on their own time schedule and can utilize the contacts they already have with people they work with or network with on a daily basis.

♦ WHAT IS THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR PROVIDED?
National Directors are provided many of the tools needed to start the franchise, including the logo, form contracts, invitations, backdrops, photographs and video.
